Laura Zucker {portraiture} | sneak peek

I am utterly speechless when it comes to describing this photo shoot with one of my oldest and dearest friends, Laura Zucker, at what has become one of my favorite venues of all time — the Burlington County Prison Museum in Mt. Holly. Laura is one of the most talented singer-songwriters on the planet. Really. Check her out on my website and here: http://www.laurazucker.com. Stand by for a post that will knock your socks off!

Sandra + Jay {tied the knot} | 5.22.10

Sandra + Jay’s wedding was very special to me for many reasons, not the least of which was the incredible ingenuity and creativity of the bride in choosing this unique venue for her wedding. Sandra chose the Burlington County Prison Museum in Mt. Holly NJ as the backdrop for her 1930s-era wedding, and the entire day was a visual feast. Sandra was beyond gorgeous in a vintage gown and birdcage veil and Jay donned a pinstripe suit and black fedora befitting the era. The couple sported authentic oxford swing dance shoes, which kept them dancing well into the night. From a purely photographic viewpoint, this was beyond a doubt the most perfect wedding I’ve ever photographed. My assistant, Pamela Lowe, and I were giddy with delight from the moment we first stepped into the cell where Sandra was preparing to get dressed for the ceremony and saw all the beautiful natural light bathing the room. It was truly a photographer’s dream come true! Jessie Blum of Eclectic Unions performed the ceremony with her usual joie de vivre and was a delight to work with as usual. I enthusiastically recommend Jessie to anyone looking for a uniquely personal wedding ceremony. Sandra might just be one of the sweetest people I’ve ever known, and I want to thank her for giving me the opportunity to provide her and Jay with these lasting memories of their special day – a day I will remember for a long, long time! Congratulations Sandra + Jay!

Sarah + John {anniversary} | 7.18.09

One year ago today, I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Sarah Schulte + John Gilleeny in the beautiful Berkshire mountains of Massachusetts. This is one of my favorite images from their incredible day. This wedding was very special to me for many reasons, mainly because I came away with two wonderful friends. Happy anniversary, Sarah + John! I love you guys!
